"As part of this larger academic community, St. Lawrence University (SLU) has taken several important steps toward improving the sustainability of its campus and community. Managing campus sustainability is a dynamic process that requires both top down and grassroots management strategies. These two methods are not only complementary, but jointly essential to actions taken toward sustainability in general. Together these combined management strategies draw influence from core environmental principles that guide their efforts within the SLU community and afar.
